How Wheronaut works

What is Wheronaut?

A daily geography game. Every prompt has many right answers. The obvious ones weigh my balloon down; the rare ones lift it. Seven prompts, 20 seconds each, up to 7,000 m. The clock waits two seconds while I read, I offer a fix if I misspell, and I press Ascend when I am ready for the next prompt.

Daily or practice?

The daily mission is the same seven prompts for everyone, once per day, and it's the one that counts for streaks, levels and kit. Practice runs reuse prompts from past missions and never count — they're for fun and for learning.

How do you decide what's rare?

I sort each prompt's answers by how well known they are and place them on six altitude bands. They're hand-curated, not live player data, so everyone plays against the same sheet.

My right answer scored zero!

Then I missed it, sorry. Use “I think an answer is missing” on the reveal and I'll review it. Closed lists (borders, capitals, landlocked countries) are the ones I'm most confident are complete.

Do you accept typos?

Small ones, but only within that prompt's own answers. If a guess is close to more than one, I suggest options rather than guessing for you.

When does the next mission start?

At midnight UTC, the same moment worldwide.
